Description
Glencoe – Scottish Highlands
Land of mystery and tragedy, the Glen can still seem dark and foreboding even today. Formed by the last ice-age and perhaps best known for the 1692 massacre of the MacDonalds, thirty eight of whom were killed in the initial slaying and a further forty, mainly women and children, died of exposure after their homes were burned.
Dominated on the south side by three peaks, known as the Three Sisters, the glen is a major tourist attraction today and features in many film scenes. A mecca for climbers and hill-walkers the glen offers the very best of summer and winter climbing routes.

Don´t know what happend to my first comment but i´ll try again. Interesting and funny to find "Glencoe" here on FAA because It happens to be that i own little pieces of land there (certified) and can/could therefore fo by the title "Laird"- and "Lord of Glencoe". :o) Best regards -H.D.Z. (Laird Hans, Lord of Glencoe) :o)
